I found four clumps of this slime mould on a decaying stump.
They were peach coloured and had a wrinkly texture, and seemed like lots of tubules growing out of the substrate.
EDIT – 07/01/25
These ‘tubules’ form part of the pseudoaethalial structure of Tubifera ferruginosa. This form has many single sporangia “squished” together to form an aethalium-like structure that at first glance looks like the “cushion” shape of Fuligo septica, which has a true aethalium.
