Day 3 – 01 October 2022
This Tricholomopsis rutilans was a distinctive purple colour with a furry texture on both the stem and cap.
The stem’s scales were orangy brown coloured, but the stem itself appeared purple.
It grew out the side of a rotting log.

As before, this grew out the side of the rotting log.
The flesh had paled into a straw-yellow colour.
The caps and stems were still covered in vinaceous fur.

Later on Day 5 – 15 October 2022:

On this Day 6 photo you can see the orange-yellow gills and cream stem covered in vinaceous fur.

I continued to see them throughout the rest of the survey.
