Today was very cold and frosty.
I saw very little — though this was probably due to the abundant leaf covering over the woodland floor.
BASECAMP AREA
On a log on the Basecamp railway path, I found a cluster of Mycena inclinata (Fig. 18.0).
The Stereum hirsutum were still around here.
THE DELL
I saw the Trichia varia from previous weeks and found that the Helvella dissingii I last recorded on Day 12 were still around.
I spotted some tiny Pterula fruiting bodies (Fig. 18.1), and the Mycena inclinata from Day 17.
SANDY GLADE AREA
The Arcyria denudata were still around.
ENCLOSED AREA
In the Enclosed Area, there was very little, except Xylaria hypoxylon and Ascocoryne sarcoides.
YEW GROVE AREA
The splendid Pholiota squarrosa from previous weeks were still around, and had grown very large.
OUTPOST AREA
At The Pensive, the Phleogena faginea were still around and there was more Xylaria hypoxylon.
END OF TRAIL
I saw Calocera cornea, Auricularia auricula and the Apioperdon pyriforme from previous weeks.
