Today the weather was cool and cloudy but mostly dry.

CAR PARK

At the path from the car park I saw clusters of immature  Coprinellus micaceus (Fig. 9.0) and Coprinopsis atramentaria (Fig. 9.1) in the leaf litter by the path.

ENTRANCE AREA

After entering the reserve I spotted a mottled brown fungus — possibly a Parasola or Psathyrella species (Fig. 9.2) and I spotted a decayed Armillaria fungus.

BASECAMP AREA

On the path down to Basecamp, I saw the Tricholomopsis rutilans and Laccaria laccata from previous weeks, a decayed Hypholoma fasciculare and Xylaria hypoxylon.

At Basecamp, in the crevice of a large log, I spotted a brown fungus growing off a fallen branch (Fig. 9.3) and Calycina citrina (Fig. 9.4).

At the end of the Basecamp railway path, on the same log from week seven, I noticed that the Stereum hirsutum had grown.

On many of the logs that had Stereum hirsutum, I spotted tiny brown and white fungi which I think are Mycena (Figs. 9.5).

I also saw some tiny Tremella mesenterica.

THE DELL

In The Dell The same Pterula species, Coprinellus disseminatus, Typhula juncea from earlier weeks were around.

I found Phleogena faginea (Fig. 9.6) on the side of a stump.

I spotted a number of slimemoulds — an unidentified slime mould (Figs. 9.7), four clumps of a bright salmon-pink Dictydiaethalium plumbeum (Figs. 9.8), Trichia decipiens (Fig. 9.9) and Mucilago crustacea (Fig. 9.10).

ENCLOSED AREA

Along the drainage channel path, I spotted an Aleuria aurantia (Fig. 9.11) and saw the Bulgaria inquinans on the sculpted log from previous weeks.

In the Enclosed Area at the end of the drainage channel path, I saw some Leota lubrica and more Clavulina coralloides.

YEW GROVE AREA

Along the trail, I found Fomitopsis betulina, some Ceratiomyxa fruticulosa (Fig. 9.12) on a fallen branch, some Calycina citrina (fig 9.13) and Exidia glandulosa (Fig. 9.14).

OUTPOST AREA

On the edge of the path, near The Outpost, I saw a singular Typhula fistulosa (Fig. 9.15).

At the Pensieve, just after The Outpost, I spotted a Phallus impudicus (Fig. 9.16) and noticed that one side of the Pensieve had some prolific Phleogena faginea.

TRAIL END AREA

I went off trail to check on the Phlebia radiata form that I first saw in week seven.

Towards the end of the trail, before the Pump House track, I saw the Auricularia auricula on a log from previous weeks which had grown large — many were in the process of decay.
