Day 7 – 29 October 2022

This fungus was a reddish-purple colour with a 60mm cap and a dipped creamy centre.

The skin of the cap peeled off, and the stem was white, as were the gills.

The stem was 7mm tall and 1.1mm across, tapering upwards.

It was found along with one other in grass near bramble.

The next week, Day 8, they had turned a deeper red colour and some parts of the skin had turned mushy and brown.
