This fungus was a brownish-red colour with a dipped brownish vinaceous apex.

The skin of the cap peeled off, and the stem was white and tapered upwards.

The gills were also white.

It was found along with one other by the side of the path.

The next week, Day 8, they had turned a deeper, almost wine-red colour and some parts of the skin had turned mushy and brown.
