I retrospectively identified this as  P. aurantiorugosus after a public fungi walk with the Norfolk Fungus Study Group.

For a few years now I had noticed a singular fungus always growing in the same spot, and puzzled as to what it was.

I continue to see it in my 2023/24 survey.
