Day 1 – 12 August 2023
These were growing on the large mossy fallen trunk that I found in last year’s survey.

On Day 2 (19 August 2023), they had grown considerably, and now displayed reddish-brown upper surfaces, which faded to grey at the curled-up edges.

By Day 3 (24 August 2023), their edges had curled up, revealing their cream undersides.
They were very firm.

On Day 5 (03 September 2023) the “caps” were a deep reddish-brown and had black spots.
