I found these growing off a fallen trunk by a water channel.

On Day 3 (08 October 2022):

The surface had greyish brown centre, fading to pale mouse-grey near the edge.

It was very solid and hard, though it didn’t seem to have gills.

Day 4 – 08 October 2022 :

This Picipes badius from week two was now reddish brown, fading to orange-brown then to grey, and had grown even larger.

On Day 5, they had turned fully red.

I continued to see these throughout the rest of my survey, and next year in my 2023/24 survey.
