These two brackets were flat and reddish brown.
They had a dark cream, maze-like underside.
Because of its dark red colour, I had thought it might be D. tricolor, but the Wild Food UK website suggests that D. tricolor is actually a variant of D. confragosa.
I went ot check on the Fungal Names website, but D. tricolor was still listed as its own species.
