LOCATION:
Sandy Glade Area
DATE FOUND:
Day 9 – 01 October 2023
On a ground level, rotting stump left of the Sandy Glade path.
A colony of bright reddish-brown slime mould sporangia.
On Day 10, they had grown darker, and with them grew juvenile, white forms — some elongating and turning pale pink.
On Day 11, they had formed coral spore masses but a few sporangia remained.
I found just juvenile white forms on Day 13.
On Day 17, they returned.
With them appeared to be an Ascocoryne sarcoides, but it could also have been some of the sporocarps fused at the tips.
The stems were long.
On Day 20, both juvenile and mature forms were still around.
